Default Removal

Options
I have a default that was added on the 13/01/2005. This should be removed from my credit file today or tomorrow. Will this be removed automatically or will I need to ask experian or equifax to remove it?

Kind Regards

No - defaults will disappear automatically 6years after they were entered.

  • It should be removed automatically, but this doesn't always happen. Check it and if it hasn't you will have to query the item through the CRA website or send them a letter
  • It's gone from Experian but not from Equifax!!
