I have a default that was added on the 13/01/2005. This should be removed from my credit file today or tomorrow. Will this be removed automatically or will I need to ask experian or equifax to remove it?
Kind Regards

No - defaults will disappear automatically 6years after they were entered.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0

settled or not, it doesnt matter it will drop off 6 years from the date of entry, give or take a few days.:j:beer: :j0

It should be removed automatically, but this doesn't always happen. Check it and if it hasn't you will have to query the item through the CRA website or send them a letter0

It's gone from Experian but not from Equifax!!0

Will probably update over night.0
