Has everyone missed the note on the front page that the link takes you to?
"Please note, as many of these items are "one only" offers, there may be occasions when we receive simultaneous multiple orders – we regret that these orders will be dealt with strictly on a first come first served basis. Clearance items may only be purchased on-line using a credit or debit card."0 -
Didn't anybody read the angry stories in the thread about the cheap PSP games from this store?

I read all the thread about the PSP games - but then I DID get those! But I should've listened to others and been careful buying these clearance items. You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

I recall having the same pain last Christmas. See a good offer, grab it, get a confirmation email and (much) later find out it's not coming after all.
These people really are jokers. This is *not* how you should run an online store. Stock levels should be monitored real time (yes, this is possible) to avoid this sort of problem.0 -
If you genuinely think this is a sham please report it to your local trading standards. Particularly if you live near Leeds as your local TS will be the one that would be responsible for investigating.:rudolf:0

I think its a sham especially if there is pattern & history to this sort of activity. ED is no corner shop, their systems are capable allocating stock on first come first served basis (its all automatic controlled by the software).
I wonder whether they keep your name/address and email details on their systems even though they couldn't deliver the goods ordered. They should be made to delete such info!

I managed to get a HP DV4200EA laptop for £310 incl. delivery. Probably £100 cheaper than I could have got an equivalent laptop, so thanks very much to the OP.
