I'm finished apart from buying the food for christmas dinner, which will come from clubcard vouchers. If we have any spare money I will get DH a bottle of JD and myself some tender poison. If not we will have to cope its all about family time anyway and the church services are free.Barclaycard 3800

Had a major blitz on pressie buying yesterday (only because I'm too lazy to fight the crowds nearer Xmas) and now only have 2 people to buy for - dad and OH. Why are men so difficult to buy for? Woman appreciate anything and the old standby of nice smelly stuff always works in an emergency! Men are impossible!
Have about 85 quid saved up in stamps and vouchers towards food shop for the big day - we go out for Xmas lunch so it's a matter of nice food for Xmas Eve and Boxing day (I have my family cominb to me - usually 120 pounds is enough to not scrimp and gey lots of nice yummy stuff - so nearly there.
November pay day is about 1 week away and so the rest of the pressies hould be bought by the end of the month.
Just the horrible job of wrapping presents and doing the cards left then! Roll on the New Year!0 -
Doing well so far. Have most presents bought/made and wrapped - just DS & DD to buy for now and they won't be difficult or expensive. I'm pleased to have managed to keep within my £200 budget including sundries (wrapping, cards etc).

I bought quite a few presents earlier in the year, and put them in boxes in the loft. I am going to have a look later on to see what I have got and what still needs buying. Hoping its not too much.0

Hi all
Is it really only 7 weeks ...
Cards and wrapping paper I bought in the January sales. We have decided this year to cut back on a lot pressies and just buy for the children of the family and our parents. I have done a lot of my shopping on line through Quidco using any available discount codes I can find and have managed to save quite a bit this way. The only one left to buy for is my niece who also has a birthday on 21st Dec.
The next step will be the food shopping and they're all at mine for dinner this year but I'm saving my Clubcard vouchers up for this and I've started to buy a few bits in each week to spread the cost out.

Am pretty pleased this year, only two presents left to get, my sister and BF.
Made hamper style gifts for the family, so just need to get some gift bags/boxes and some wrapping paper and cards really.
I've also just changed jobs with a 4k payrise, so at the end of november I should be getting 5 weeks wages at 4k increased rate, so anything else I need to get will be then.
Am going to have a chat with bf to see if we can just get token gifts for each other as we're saving up to go to New York 2007 or early 2008, so hopefully that could be our present to each other

AND i could not believe my eyes. i saw a house with christmas tree up, lights all the usual plus more and more and more and i was stunned. why i ask myself, its the beginning of november. hmmm i think ill leave my tree up the loft until at least the 1st december....
I dont mean to offend if anyone on here has there decorations up now lol0
