Aviva are doing £70 cashback, which I've just made use of. They were only £20 more than the best Moneysupermarket quote, so I've saved £50! That's made it £70 cheaper than my renewal
did you do it all on aviva website?
or on phone?
i guess i have to type in all info on aviva website, but then they call you to go over details and take payment? so how does quidco come into all this?0 -
Use Quidco link to Aviva website, get your quote and if you are happy sign up then and there. I did mine by retrieving a quote after checking it was competitive, but it still tracked on Quidco and I've had confirmation from them too.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

you need to go on quidco website and become a member. then you need to access the Aviva webiste on the quidco website by typing aviva into the box to search for a merchant. you then fill in all your details and your money should track quite quickly. what you must do though is clear all cookies as if you have already entered all your details on the Aviva website before doing it rhough quidco it will not track as a quidco purchase and you will miss out on all the lovely lolly!0

Go to Quidco or TopCashBack site, sign up, click on the link to Aviva offer.0 -
thankyou
last year i paid £400 for third party F&T
now my cheapest quote is £550 fully comp
third party is like £800
I dont understand all this car insurance pricing. Ive got 4 years no claims, i thought insurance gets cheaper the older we get....
Not sure if employment is affecting it, im now unemployed.0 -
Fully comp is usually cheaper, and if you have a missus put her on the insurance too, as I did this and it reduced my quote!! £290 fully comp

Mine went up this year and I've got 10+ NCD, it's going up but shop around.
Oh and they don't like unemployed people either.Nothing to see here, move along.0 -
..... also, avoid Hastings Direct. They are a terrible terrible 'company'. took 50 days to receive a valuation cheque from them after a write-off. they don't ring you when you ask them to. Managers are unobtainable and they. I'm still waiting for a revaluation to go through as well.
I can vouch for that, I too had problems with this lot years ago after a non fault accident...ORIGINAL MORTGAGE AMOUNT £106,454.00 (Started Sept 2007)
NOV 2021 O/S AMOUNT £1,694.41 OUR DEBT REDUCED BY £104,759.59 by std regular, over-payments & off-setting.
BofE +0.19% Tracker Repayment Offset Mortgage Discounted Sept 07-10 then increased to BofE +0.62% until 20270 -
yes its the unemployed status that increases the insurance, one insurer told me on the phone now.
coverbox is cheapest £520, but dont like the sound of all that pay for your miles only and them wanting to fit a tracking device to your car. I dont know when ill be driving on and off peak times etc and when my circumstances change in year, seems like a headache.
So looks like £650 via quidco for fully comp is best deal for me. Cheers.
PS my car is worth less than £650 im sure! is this a sign that i should sell it and get a better one?
ive just done a full service and mot so that could be good for selling point.0 -
aviva website is telling me to call their number as they want to speak to me, so looks like i cant get quidco deal as that needs to be processed via aviva website.....?
i was also seeing diff occupations, eg unemployed, self employed, home maker, independant means, thats when they said call them and the online quote seems to be blocked0
