Which are the best make of combi boilers pls?

I have 14 rads in my house and the combi we have at the moment is in need of replacing (rads and water are warm but never hot. Have had various bits replaced during the 5 years it's been installed ie mother board and circuit board- I think). Please can someone give me some impartial advise? Also am I right in thinking that I need a bigger than normal one? Cheers

worcester bosch, I wouldn't buy any other brand. :-) They do high capacity ones too.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.

heres the link for this they are the best. but also note that if u get in touch with your local council.there are incentives to cut your fuel bills therefore call them and they can advise and send a booklet out with prices for the boilers every council is offering this deal saving quite a bit of money they maye ven send out an inspector to do a energy report for u then advise whether u should do cavety wall insulation /loft insulation :rotfl:

I have recently had a Valliant Condensing Boiler installed and it works a treat. I used to have loads of banging and clanging when the old boiler started up but this one runs quiet as a mouse and does everything really quickly. My installer was most impressed by the quality and says that he will recommend them to others in future.

Incidentally one decision I did come to was that the actual cost of the boiler is very small compared to the overall cost of heating your house (Installation, power bills etc) so it is not worth skimping to save a few pounds initially.

I've had a Valliant for some years now. Its not a condenser but it turns itself up and down and so is efficient that way. It too is quiet

I have a Halstead combi boiler, and we've had no end of problems with it. So much so that I'd never get another one.

oh perhaps you were unlucky then, the boiler fitter I had has fitted over 80 of them and never had a problem with any of them.Im sure if you canvassed owners of every make of boiler you would have people saying make X Z or Y had broken down so you pays your money and takes your chance
