It's because most of these things "grow" rather than are put through a proper analysis. I know a Poll Tax system (it's a while back) that had no marker to say the person was dead, so people used to put (DECEASED) after the name when they were informed.

Great when it's a person reading it, not so good when the automated bills went out...

    "Dear Mr Smith (DECEASED)."

People used to have to read the envelopes and filter out by hand those ones...

    It's called "www.google.co.uk"...

I can remember stuff that annoys me.

I was giving you credit then..:p I take it back:cool::D:rotfl:

    Credit? Don't you know there's a crunch on? ;)

Mr.El is doing the grocery budget, Mr B is just budgeting :D Although at the moment he isn't here as there has been a bit of a family crisis so he is where he is needed.

  • Well there was me thinking i have been uber organized..when of course the big fat pigeon of doom descends upon me..

Sorted car rental out last night, but it was at another office. They left message on local office's system ( i say local it is 10 miles away) Supposedly they were picking me up to go to office and then i could collect car.
I said it had to be early and they assured me it would be.They tried to get through and couldn't then gave me the direct number. I couldn't get an answer either.
8am, i ring to confirm the above- oh sorry we don't answer phones as we go at 6pm..funny that i say, i was ringing from 5pm and so was another office.
Oh not to worry Mrs.B, there is a driver on the way to pick you up.
8.30am- i ring again- he is definitely on his way but he must be doing some jobs..err beg your pardon ( polite version) He will be with you shortly.
    9am- no answer
9.10am i get through, he says he will ring the driver
9.20am- he is stuck in heavy traffic
I say i am borrowing another car from a neighbour as i have appts and they assured me i would have a car..ohh sorry Mrs.B, can we book you in later?
Well folks i can leave you guessing as to my reply..but essentially i would rather chew my foot off and beat myself senseless with it- than hire a car from those idiots.

Day was otherwise ok. Good work by pupils and another lot of work timetabled..i am going to be kept very busy. Which aids the debt busting efforts. Unfortunately i have a hacking cough and the golf balls are still there..yes Z i know where yours are!:p :rotfl:But it has eased as the day has gone on and i am sleeping really well at the moment. Positives, i keep thinking, positives.:D
