Surely they could have come up with a workable solution to have stopped this. I agree we owe so much to them, they were part of what shaped the whole country and proud men who worked in their community for their community.
If there is ever a war we have pits. I think it was part of Mrs T's attempt to wipe out industries that stood up to her. She has made the teachers and miners impotent. When Pol Pot did this to teachers or Idi Amin or Chairman Mao there was an outcry. But we have the Sun newspaper and everyone 'read' page3 and missed what was happening in the real world.

I could talk about Idi Amin all night- what a b**stard. One of my lovely neighbours escaped from there with the clothes on her back. They even ripped her earrings out of her ears at the airport.:mad:

John Steinback- i do him a lot..Of Mice and Men is one of the books i study with my students. I like it..
