  • I am also having a couple of probs health wise at the moment.

I have had constant colds- then flu like symptoms- last week all my joints ached and my chest. Docs said anti inflammatories and rest, but last night i had a terrible night coughing and was so tired i didn't go into work today.

I just feel dragged down by it.

Mr.B is picking a tonic up for me today. So i am hoping that helps. I tried to get an appt for docs again, but all normal ones had gone and i am not an emergency. So will try again tomorrow to get an appt.

I don't feel bad in myself though, it is just annoying.

Still the spat with Santander cheered me up a bit;):rotfl:

Aww Bob you poor love, sorry you are suffering with this recurring virus :grouphug:

Apparently rubbbing vick on the soles of your feet is good for coughing in the night. Not tried it myself but have it on good authority that it works. xx

hope you recover soon...it's awful when coughing keeps you awake all night.
  • Thanks Taxi, well Mr.B went into work late today in order to ring up Docs and get me down to them as i had a bad day yesterday and nearly fainted. So he is being good and DS is keeping me fed and watered as he is off today. :) I am being looked after very well.

The doctor prescribed, more antibiotics and rest- i have been signed off for a week, but will see how i feel after the weekend. I hate taking time off.

Spends wise, well £7.20 for antibiotics. I gave DD2 some money for a trip out with friends- so that was £12 and £5 for DS to spend at Butchers.

Leaves me with £40 in food budget until the end of the month.

Letters have been written to Santander, so i will see what comes of it all. I am thinking of PAD with Santander card anyway which will take me way over the min amount- but it is still the principle of it all.

Hope everyone else is having a good day.

    Bob. x

:mad::mad: @ Santander, and the same to nasty bugs which won't go away. PLEASE if you've been signed off for a week take that week - the Doc wouldn't have signed you off for that long if he didn't think you needed it, and if you go back too soon you will simply end off again in a few weeks, and for longer. Hope you're feeling better soon! xx

  • Thanks EH- i do actually feel a lot better, i think it has been helped by fully relaxing and having a good nights sleep..even if i do stay up reading. i eventually drop off and the sleep has been refreshing. Today i felt like i have been breathing properly, as in all honesty my ribs hurt but i must have a high pain threshold as i didn't realize how much they hurt until it stopped- IFYSWIM :(

  • It seems to be a good thing, noting down everything spent this week.

So i must admit that while i have been off my eyes have opened to a couple of bad habits we need to be aware of.

For the past few days Mr.B has been taking my car to work- I am not bothered about that, as he is back earlier etc.
Although the niggle is that he has already paid in advance for a week's ticket on the train and i put a full tank of petrol in for the week. I have told him to reclaim his money back which will then go to replacing the petrol- Need to be aware of these things as otherwise it is a loss.

Also Mr.B was off yesterday- he and DS went shopping for a loaf of bread and some potatoes- well mainly and some small items:o:o I gave him £13 out of budget and a list...... £22 later they came back with the list and a few other things not on the list- as well as newspapers ( Mr.B likes Newspapers, he thought it was bliss when we had to buy one for the SUN hols) He then said oh we overspent, so i put it on my card ( meaning joint card) Oh and i have the £13 cash..Moving onto the evening- he went to the pub quiz, so guess what he used? So potentially the day could have cost us £7 over budget, lost train fares, and the £13 for pub quiz. In fact it probably has cost that, because i doubt Mr.B will reclaim his ticket therefore he will have to fill up the tank of petrol:o

So a lesson on how to keep track and never ever let folk out spending, as the only things of value on the list were the spuds- the rest was chocolate- they have eaten already, Monster munch and wotsits- bleurrgh, Sausage rolls- already eaten and disgusting yoghurts- those fruit corner things, sweet and sickly. I have no doubt the page 3 boobs added to the mix as well:cool::rotfl::rotfl:

At least it is Friday:D:D I am thankful for that:rotfl:

  • I must admit though, that i have been following a few folks blogs while i have been off. I am really enjoying pippi's and cheerydaff's-as well as a few others. It gets my enthusiasm going for planning the year and getting back into a few crafts. So Thanks guys. :)
