Did you say you were doing the London Marathon? Can't remember, but *do* remember you saying you fancied the GNR, so hope you've applied

Aye, i applied and was rejected- i had an offer via the Juvenile diabetes trust- which would mean a lot of fundraising..and i felt i couldn't do it. Simply because i fell ill with a cold- which didn't leave me and turned flu like. It just kept going on for weeks. So what little training i had done, really wasn't enough. I will get there, just missed the date of application for GNR...but i am doing an 8 mile walk across Morecambe Bay as a charity start and so is Mr.B. The goals are there, just on a smaller scale..:D:rotfl::rotfl:
I do fancy it- and am motivated to keep on building up until i have the confidence to apply again.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Hmph- well i thought something was amiss- Not with Mr.B..but with Santander. One card i BT'd to is now on a fixed rate, as i refused the rate jack and i have been overpaying all year. Then i find that suddenly the minimum payment has gone up- well that was fine, because it was within my overpayment budget and the rate didn't move..then this month the min payment has gone up again- to 5%:mad::mad::mad: Now when i rang them up, i was fobbed off. A little research on the forums, has shown it has happened to a couple of other folk.
My thoughts on this- while i can cover the hike- fine, as the card will be off sooner than i thought.
Other thoughts- Well i wasn't informed of min rate rise:mad:
What if i can't cover it?:o
And well in principle i am against all of these kind of sneaky tactics.
It is almost a global conspiracy to drive everyone over the edge, petrol and everything else just going up and up and up.
So a letter is going off to them, as foreign call centres are a waste of time and i get no sense when asking.
I am pointing out their breach of Terms and Conditions by raising rate without informing me.
The card is being paid of ASAP- but it is still darned annoying.
Oh and for good measure i may close down my Santander current account.:rotfl:
End of rant.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Well actually there is, but it's not actually aimed at you, you're just "collateral damage". Bet you didn't expect that answer...

That's what they'll be bothered about. Moaning doesn't affect them, but losing customers does. Until the BoE/ECB bails them out of course.boredofbeingathome wrote: »End of rant.

I nearly choked today as i received a phone call- saying i had missed a payment..I thought not bloomin likely:D I got through to customer service who confirmed i had not:cool::cool::cool:Not only had i overpaid but also paid early:cool::cool::cool: And from my Santander current account. Talk about incompetent bunch of twits.
They apologized about the phone calls. However i have written and demanded the cost of the phone call back, and a written letter of apology for disturbing me.
