i'm on the other side of the world wondering why so many people are so excited over a wedding .... i just dont get it ....

I suppose for me it is the whole pageantry of it- i don't enjoy the run up or hype, but it all seemed good and was really nice to see the crowds thoroughly enjoying themselves and just being part of an event. I think that's the best way to look at it all personally.

Absolutely.... I followed up on the link from Z to the Palm Beach Post, and I just loved this bit:

"As one Facebook poster put it: "My uterus may be old, but it can still get hysterical when it needs to!!"

    Tee hee :)

  • Pay is in my account so i can budget for this next month. I have spent £25 in total on some wonderful buys in Charity shop- i now have a very smart working wardrobe:D And some meat from butchers..

Things are not going to be as expensive as last month and i hope to be able to build up my little savings pot again. I have a regular direct debit now set up for car expenses.

Off to update my snowball and begin fresh grocery challenge. I don't sign up to the thread on oldstyle, although i may do this month.

The planted veg are coming along a treat at the moment, this warm weather has helped:D I am going to plant some more things and turn the bottom of my garden into a bigger veg patch, so will need to buy some more soil.

I have some free wood, sourced from pallets, so i can finish off fence and cunningly use the carcass of the pallet to extend my veg garden- it will be two nice squares. I am rather chuffed with myself for that one.:D

Bob, you sound like you're doing really well with the planting, good for you!

I'm amazed at what you *can* find in charity shops. Its not as cheap as it used to be, but even so, I recently bought two *beautiful* skirts locally, one was a layered handkerchief skirt from Next, and the other was a gorgeous turquoise silky type finish from per una, with embroidery, for a total of £10.

    Enjoy the holiday!
