Have you ever thought of lecturing on economics on a housing course? I'm sure you'd do a much better job than our last lecturer. I like economics cos it's logical and yet in some of her lectures I felt like I'd been run over.

I once made dandelion wine, so if you have a few and don't live near where they breathe petrol fumes, then it is an option ...
(I think it turned out much better than the lettuce wine which was only drinkable cut half and half with cider)
OK, I was once young and daft and parents went on hols and left me in charge of the garden!!!

Unfortunately, most economics is there to fulfil a political agenda - bought and paid for - and your poor lecturer has to parrot that so you can pass an exam set by people who are part of that.
That may involve some somersaulting of logic along the way.
If you, the student, can't repeat the received gospel, then you will be failed. If too many of you are failed, then the lecturer is going to be the proud possessor of a "don't rock the boat" UB40.
It's only once you've passed a certain level, or are operating outside of the Government financed educational system that you can challenge that. Even then, you can kiss goodbye to most research grants that are available.
This guy for example doesn't believe in the standard economics fare. But he does have the advantage of not having to."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

This weekend has been a busy one, but not with DIY. I have been out and about walking.:D Too nice not to really.
Spends - well i have to admit to another £10 on groceries, DS and DD2 have had friends over and has cost a wee bit extra.
On other fronts, i have to look for a new fridge freezer. I have found one at Curry's which is £399. With cashback and money off online through quidco i could reduce it to roughly £350, was 5% cashback today, but i won't spend out until i am sure.

It has a large capacity and i have had a look at it instore as well. Would value opinions.
I probably won't buy until the end of the month as i have a few things to pay out as well as my car tax:oBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
