    Liked you long post. As to thinking with hearts - I think that SW meant not to forget about people. In this sense air-craft designers think rather a lot with their hearts. Arhitects, on the other hand, fail consistently.

    That happens a lot. Many economists forget to sanity-check themselves, and as themselves questions like "Is this even plausible?" and "Are people really that dumb?"

    Too many times, the answer to both questions is: No.

    I wouldn't be idolising aircraft designers too much. They give people thrombosis which, to not put too fine a point on it, kills them. They also feed people poisoned air, and then moan about people going nuts as a result.
