Well MOT and service booked for Tuesday - money will have to be spent!I will tax it at the end of the month when my wage comes in.
Am tempted to do an 888 offer for the Grand National today as well.
Bills paid for another month as well- i just feel like i am watching everything swill down the drain at the moment..pah!
Off to sort shopping out and get on with a few other bits and bats.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

You're welcome, for my part! I'll confess, just to you, but we won't tell Z,:D:D, that I was only telling one side of the story about the velocity of money - he was telling the other side, when he linked to hyperinflation  which is a horrible, horrible thing - thank heavens for Z, is all I can say
Tho I love history, me
Bob, hope this afternoon, and the service, aren't too expensive. My new find is charity shops - two *really* nice tops for a total of 60p.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Well afternoon hasn't been that bad. I exchanged my rotary line( it broke) and now have a pole- had to buy some more cement-£4.05
Shopping came to £12 and i bought some more compost and plants in that as well. So pole has been re-cemented in, i have potted up my garden tubs with some begonia's.
My seeds are sprouting from last week- mega excited and!!!!!!! The beans are in
So that has cheered me up.
KC- MOT and full service( it needs it) come to £180 at Kwik fit , i have a voucher for 20% off as well. It has to be done. Tax disc is £120 for the yearso that will be £300 on the car. I have all of the money for it, i just begrudge spending it, i am getting very much like that lately- i know it has to be spent but don't want to..*stamps foot*
I am mending what i can in the garden fence wise, in order to save money. I was going to invest in new fence panels as it was looking sorry for itself ( at least 7 are broken due to winds and general rot, as soft wood will do that) so i think the wood works out at £12 as opposed to over £150 for new panels- well that is far better. The slats can be re used and that is my job for tomorrow.Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Yes, enjoy the sunshine while it is about! Wow, Bob, thats impressive - my fence panels are quite nice here, tho done a little bit on the cheap, the posts aren't quite high enough. The buddleia coming down will help them, as it was leaning on them, and on the other side some serious TLC is needed, because of ivy pulling them down - I'm cutting it back, as its right outside the back door, I don't like it. There's also quite a lot of soil built up on the footings, which encourages rot, if I'm not mistaken, is that right? Hope it all goes well for you, anyway, good for you! Had a lovely picnic and i consider myself very lucky considering the beautiful countryside we have around us. Lots of peeps with the same idea, had homemade bread, chicken salad on it-delicious sandwiches
KC- The fence is a 'picket' style fence- approx 3ft high by 6ft width- very easy to mend. There are about14 panels though that do need mendingsome of it is just re- nailing the slats back on, others it is the full length of wood. Then there is the painting..urrgh i hate the painting. ( think i may have mentioned it)
