hey beany we dont do those days either in this house ... my son lets me know every day he loves me ... he makes me coffee often or something to eat etc .. he shows me he loves me basically .. so neither of us feel the need to have a special day dictated to us by consumerism ... but in saying that i am very very happy when friends recieve wonderful presents from their loved ones ... it makes me smile0

My DS doesent do Mothers Day as its capitalist.............
And he doesn't do pocket money either, as that is capitalist too..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

you bring up a very valid point z ... have to admit my son only ever had pocket money once in his life ... he soon realised that pocket money was not the way to go and never asked for it again ... my son is a capitalist most deff but he also doesnt like the whole sociological thing that one day per year we show our mothers we love them by spending ... he thinks you should show the people you love ( and that doesnt always mean mothers) that you love them every day .. i'm positive most kids do do this ( and i am not suggesting otherwise) but my son does not buy into consumerism ... and yet he is a capitalist ( amongst other things) ...0
