Sorry to bring up an old post, but I came across it when searching for Howdens information. I am tempted by the quote Howdens have given me, do people in this thread still have the overall positive views on them now?

    Thanks in advance.

Generally yes. Every company has its off days though and nobody is totally immune.

When planning our kitchens,on number 16 house move,I always incorporate one low section for my wife to use for mixing/mashing etc. As all units seem to have the basic height on adjustable legs, I usually end up either removing the drawer units off 2x 500 bases leaving the door only, or I've just made one up with a 1000deep drawer for saucepans with 2 x 500 drawers over.I section of worktop at 1000 and it is much easier for her to use and breaks up the continuous line of 900 high worktops. Also a double plug for food mixers etc in that gap is useful to.

Have you really moved 16 times and bought 16 new kitchens?

First 2 times I went into the shop, the guy didn't really.. do.. anything. so I left going, so, how do I get a price then? what do I do now?
Next time I got a different guy, who asked me what I wanted. I told him. he did a drawing and said he'd email me the quote and some photos of plans. Then I went in and paid for it! It's coming next Saturday.. Yay!

That's a pretty quick turn around time! Did you go anywhere else before them, or was it just straight to Howdens?

No, checked everywhere I could think of (that I thought I could afford and avoiding companies like wren and magnet coz didn't read good things about them on here)
