I've narrowed new kitchen down to howdens, wren or benhmarx... I think..

Just looking to find out what people think of these companies - quality of kitchens, price, is one superior to other, etc

Good or bad, all info welcomed

    Cheers
We just bought our kitchen from kitchenwarehouseltd.com
    I love it
We look at wren kitchens and Howdens kitchens and was recommended kitchen warehouse uk ltd in Ripon, North Yorkshire by my mums friend here sister had just got a kitchen from them.
It was around the same price as Howdens but the quality was far superior.
We looked online and then went to have a look at the showroom because we where worried about spending so much money online with not seeing what we where going to get. the service and advise we got made the trip worth while.
we would happily recommend this kitchen company to anyone over Wren and Howdens the kitchen is fantastic and the price was great it was delivered on time and COMPLETE. There online website kitchenwarehouseltd.com is easy to use and clearly priced.
    5* RATING

Give these guys a try if your in the market for a new kitchen they where great to deal with and really do care.

Newbie trying to post a link to an unbeatable kitchen supplier, posting an answer to a question posted over 2 1/2 years ago.The OP will probably have had the kitchen fitted and now decorating it for the 2nd time or even sold up and moved house..

Can we afford to miss a bargain of a lifetime?;).....

Are you the same Katie who wrote a review on yell.com?
Not sure how their units are better when they come flat packed and the website refers to colour coded carcass, the first one I clicked on is a ginger door on a titanium carcass thinks someone needs to go to specsavers.
The website is so out of date and incorrect it refers to Moben as high street retailer so at least 2 years out of date.

  • I would never ever recommend Howdens,
I bought Howdens whole new Kitchen last year, it was painful experience, spent such big amount of money.
First: on price, which is depends on who you deal with from different depot.
    - Staff and the manager could change their price on any goods on any time (before and after your payment settle, there is no regulation. service is not their first interested, prioritize would be their target and bonus.
    - In my case *The measurement was incorrect even their staff measure itself in my house, base units and wall units could not fit in, there is no alternatively, I would need ex-change to smaller units (price are a lot cheaper when it come to ex-change, nearly have no money refund, anyway I still have not got them money yet)* all items were not clear on the invoices, could not understand what price on what items.
Second: Even the head office, it is just a joke, again the company do not seem to have an regulation.
    - I made my complainant, from that depot from staff to manager and some kinds of head office. Nonsense, none of them were acted professionally, my complaint emails have been ignoring for more than two months time. Finally, I found a different email contract from the website of Howdens and contract to some by email, it seem under a monitor, which I get reply and as the same time that email would cc back to that person, unfortunately, it does not monitor in details.
Quality: there is nothing especially better than the other.

My neighbours one have magnet kitchen, quality good, you may need a builder. One has wicks kitchen seem good service.
I have my second kitchen from B & Q, I have no headache, and prices were clear with every single item and no problem for ex-change or refund at all.
Selco they also sell kitchen as well for DIY

    Good Luck

We're just designing ours currently using Benchmarx and very impressed with them so far. Seems to me like a lot depends on the fitter as you get wildly different views on each company.
  • Anyone have experience of these https://www.facebook.com/CheapFittedKitchens?fref=ts as they keep flashing on ebay but the prices seem a bit surreal
    :T:T :beer: :beer::beer::beer: to the lil one :) :beer::beer::beer:
  • I've recently had a new kitchen fitted, looked at all the nationwide companies but ended up going to a local family run business. Quality kitchen, amazing service and at a fraction of the cost that some of the bigger companies were charging.

    THREAD HIJACK...

What about other companies like Homebase, Wickes (I can guess they're probably not great), etc...

I'm considering getting a new kitchen, but not sure how much longer I want to stay in the house and if it's worth it.
