I must be too honest. I never even thought of that...

Friday, Going to have to pay for lunch today (I left mine sitting on the counter) But at least I'll be getting a nice walk in the fresh air to do it.

This weekend should be relatively cheap. bf and I are only doing free stuff for valentines (home made cards, cup of tea and big hugs) but the day before is his dads birthday and I have said my contribution will be a case of beer, bf is getting the food and we're having a night in at his dads place.

I will also, get homework done, hopefully see my tutor about getting my level 4 portfolio signed off completely (when the paperwork/certificate is through that'll be another qualification under my belt) and generally take time out to relax.

I was a good girl last night, bathroom and living room both made spotless with stardrops. I love that stuff!

right, off to work with me!

Right, so tonights dinner is going to be my extra cheesy homemade mac and cheese for bf and I. Friday night and no takeaway. I think we're growing as humans!

I must remember to stop for milk on the way home or it's not going to be all that easy...

Today I am going to post my amazon sale. I need to get petrol again (why oh why is petrol so bloomin' expensive?!) I also need to get some tinned tomatoes for tonights dinner. I'm going to make chilli again. It was a success last time so there is no reason why it shouldn't be a success this time for not just myself but for bf too. I'm actually looking forward to making it. I still can't say that I enjoy cooking, far from it, but I do get a nice feeling to know that both Friday and Saturday night bf and I will be in and other than maybe a couple of quid on juice no money will be spent on take aways.

I'm still looking for recipes for cheap savoury snacks.

Does anyone know any good ways to make sweet potato crisps or something like that or will that end up being more expensive than just buying some cheap snacks themselves.

Something I've only just discovered (and perfect for chilli) is tortilla chips. Buy a bag of wraps, *lightly* oil them (olive oil ideally), cut into triangles and cook in the oven for 5-7 mins. Lo! Tortilla chips. If you can stretch to 2 avocados, 1 tomato, 1 onion, 1 lime and some garlic then you can make your own guacamole too ( google 'easy guacamole').

    Easy savoury snacks!

Ha, did you try it? I have to admit, only did it for the first time this week- was delicious!

And, another confession: all my best recipes are from my boyfriend. His attitude to cooking compared to mine was demonstrated this week. I suggested a fried egg sandwich because it was quick and easy. He replied 'why have easy when you can have spectacular?'. Luckily, he's a 'ready steady cook' person and will throw together anything in the cupboards (handy when you're in debt like me)... Will try and think of some other easy things he's made for me that are yummy!
