Yes I thought 6 stamps too:o I am hoping they do investigate and surely must be able to cancel the stolen vouchers. This is the first time I've ever had this, and have had vouchers sent in the normal post before, sometimes it's the less valuable wins that get sent SD!
And Recorded Delivery isn't safe.. Postman has such a big area and such a short amount of time.. he just sticks thru letter box.!0 -

Dear Liz,
Sorry to hear that your gift voucher didn’t get delivered to you.
As a gesture of goodwill, we will issue you with another £50.00 gift voucher for you which can be used in any of our stores throughout the UK. To find your nearest store please log on to www.smythstoys.com.
Alternatively you can ring our customer care team on 0203 3285038 and they would be more than happy to assist you.
Can you give me a contact telephone number for you? As I will be sending the gift voucher by courier.
Thanks
Kind Regards,
Martina Moran

"For stamped and metered items a postage refund plus compensation on the basis of actual loss, where evidence of posting and evidence of value can be provided. This compensation is subject to the maximum payable being the lower of the market value of the item and statutory maximum of 100 x 1st Class stamps at the first weight step.
Postage refund (a minimum payment of 6 x 1st Class letter stamps at the first weight step) shall be payable where only basic evidence is provided or the item is of no intrinsic value.
Claims must be submitted within 12 months of posting."
If Smyths have proof of posting, which they may well have, and proof of the value of the contents (which again they may have) then you should be able to claim up to the larger amount (value of the 100*1st class stamps)?
no,as has already been posted
vouchers are only covered under Special Delivery0 -

I can't see that clause on the Royal Mail site...and although it's irrelevant now, I'm intrigued to know this - do you have a link please?
Scrub that....found it....here in the VERY LONG exclusions section:
j. where the item contains valuables (i.e. money and jewellery) unless posted using an appropriate Special Delivery™ service within the terms of this scheme;0 -
I would imagine the Smyths vouchers would have an unique code on them? if those codes were recorded before the vouchers were sent out then maybe those vouchers can be cancelled by Smyths so the crooks can't use them.0
