It's something everyone goes through who reach a certain limit on their account. You need to verify your details due to money laundering, until your bank account has been verified they will not let you sell anymore.
Log into you paypal account, there should be an option to verify it. Mine was so long ago I can't remember the exact details but it was something to do with confirming how much was put in the bank account, a couple of pence springs to mind.

I'd check again, DS had this, he had to verify again.

I've had to varify a few times, although i tend to only buy from ebay.

mine was silly because to verify my bank account they had to take 1p or was it 2p out of my account, and when i see that happen to go to the next step, the money never happened, but after several months i had to verify again by just giving bank details.

Although now and then £2 gets taken from my account, and when i ask the bank they can't see it, and it then doesn't leave the account.. weird i know.

  • Very strange, rang them today on the 0208 number pressed option one, puts you through to paypal :P saved me a fortune on the phone bill :-D so thanks for that Lottie-B! Got throught to an Irish bloke who was really cocky and said well Paypal obviously dont want to do business with you anymore, I asked why and he said he doesn't know nor am I allowed to know. I said legally whatever information you hold about me I have a legal right to know. He said not when it could compromise national security? I was like eh? National Security? All ive done is sold a few items on ebay and bought a few? Surely there must be millions of other people compromising national security too just by using sites like ebay and paypal? Surely thats what its for anyway... I said where do I send a Subject Access Request to and he said my contract with paypal has been terminated by Paypal and I cannot get a s.a.r. I said well if I have no contact with you why are you holding £120 in my account for 180 days he then proceeded its to protect paypal so no chargebacks can be done blah blah blah.... Surely my account is not "terminated" as they call it until I get my money back into my bank?

Haha, you would think so! No sold a few old mobiles from around the house, some riding boots, an old laptop from like 1997 and some clothes.

Paypal are notorious for just not listening. Id be tempted to carry out a chargeback and just resort to other methods of selling in future.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.
