Paypal Hell!

Hi, I am having some issues with paypal. I opened a paypal and ebay account about 2-3 months ago. I have been selling stuff to get debt free - have managed to pay off my aqua credit card (YAY!!!) anyway... I've sold about 7 or 8 items in the past, recieved payments fine, straight into my bank from paypal, always got positive feedback and stuff. Then on Monday, I got a e-mail saying my account was now limited for the following:
Why is my account access limited?
Your account access has been limited for the following reason(s):
10 Jan 2011: For reasons relating to the safe use of the PayPal service we need some more information about some of your recent eBay and PayPal activity.
I rang them on an 0870 number from my mobile was on hold for at least 20 minutes and some very rude Irish man came on the phone and refused to tell me why my account had been limited and said he didnt know what I could do about it, and its unappealable? He then said theres nothing he can do and ill recieve my money in 180 days time! Then hung up! I thought how rude. (nothing against Irish people btw as my familys irish
)
When I sign into ebay I get this message and I can no longer sell?
We've noticed some activity on your account, and we need your help in verifying some information. We're sorry for this inconvenience, but while we're working things out with you, you'll have limited access to list new items on eBay.
To help us resolve this, please log in to your PayPal account, and go to My Account > Resolution Center, and complete the steps for each requirement.
Thanks for your attention.
I just dont understand it because all my feedback is positive?
What can I do?

Have you or anybody in your house held an Ebay or Paypal account which has had any sort of bother?0

The only reason am asking as its happened to me before, it was cause i was selling DVD's which they thought where Fake and without asking, ebay and paypal started putting restrictions on my account.
Call ebay on 0208-080-2106 & Paypal on 08707-307-191
Hope you can get it sorted0 -

No nothing, my mums paypal account is fine, shes the only other person in the house with one, just got off the phone will Paypal who said they cannot disclose why they have limited my account and basically its tough, thats the final decision I cannot appeal against it. They have deemed me a high risk to the paypal network? I cannot understand it? All my feedback is positive, they can see that. The funds in my account will be released on the 6th July 2011. Ugh! So it that it? I just have to wait?0 -
Just rang ebay. And basically because I have a paypal issue. They can't remove the limitations on my ebay account till i resolve the paypal issue? HOW when they have closed my account I ask and they said basically I am banned from ebay as well as paypal? Outrageous. I've done nothing whatsoever wrong? Anyone would think I had been selling guns and drugs to 15 year olds on ebay!0

Just something to try (not sure if it will work) but ring paypal and ask for why this has happened again. If they refuse explain that you are unhappy about their inability to disclose this information and that you will be requesting it under the Data Protection Act (and kindly ask who you would write to in order to do that).
If they have any informaiton about you they are legally obliged to disclose it. They can charge £10 (nothing more for electronic records) but I think by the sounds of it that would be fine as you would rather know.I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!0 -
When you went to the resolution centre in Paypal, what did you find there?
Usually it's the place where buyers will have opened a dispute with you. Perhaps you'd not been responding and that's why Paypal have got arsey?
I found this number in saynoto0870.com for paypal (choose option 1 apparently)
020 8605 3000
Hope you get it sorted, I know paypal can come very heavy handed sometimes and the length of time they like to hang onto your cash is indefensible.0 -

I thought that, I've checked I've no disputes or anything. I've clicked on the link that says why is my account limited (or something to that effect) and it just says about paypal security blah blah blah :S0
