I have noticed that there are a lot of messages about people being unhappy with the service they have received from big companies. Does anyone ever write and officially complain, and if so what sort of response have you received. I often wounded if it is worth complaining bearing in mind that it takes time.
Pls move the message if it in the wrong place on the forum. I dont know where it fits. Thank you.

I certainly do and have seen results - A always try the normal channels first - ask for the manager if necessary, and if I get no service there go higher. It's not difficult to find names and addresses of CEO's company secretary's etc - sometimes a mention will get things moving. An email to the CEO usually does - and quickly even if it means that they appoint someone within their office team who is there to deal with complaints to handle it through to completion. Mention consumer programs, trading standards etc by name - not as blatent threat or manipulation and they also start to twig they are dealing with someone with a bit of savvy.0

I have taken the time to write to complain about the level of service I received and I have also written to praise good service.
From my experience, it helps if you make a record of the following:
The date, time, store location or phone number you called and the name of person you dealt with.
Keep to the facts of what went badly (re: complaint) or well (re: praise) and it will help the customer service manager to deal with your report.
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies.
