with help from various members on this site I've been looking for my 1st laptop - I've found A Dell Inspiron 1545 with the same spec & price at PC World & Currys - which would I be advised in using just in case I need their after sales service?

they are the same company, and in a lot of cases actually share the same building now! and customer service is generally direDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Customer support is appalling really/ it's just a way for them to rake in money/...and remember, you nearly always get a one-year warranty with most/all machines//BLOODBATH IN THE EVENING THEN? OR PERHAPS THE AFTERNOON? OR THE MORNING? OH, FORGET THIS MALARKEY!

As above they are both the same company so doesn't really matter that much. I would probably look on Amazon or even Argos as the same laptop will probably be cheaper.
(I do buy things from PCWorld as they are convenient if I am in a hurry but not because of any illusions of after-sales care)0 -
foiled again - neither of the stores has 1 in stock!!0

they are both owned by dixons , we got a new telly on boxing day, currys refused point blank to honour there own price match promise they happily promote and were rude and arrogant, pc world who are on the same estate were very helpfull and honoured the same price match promise happily and courteously, the funny part is that pc world didnt have the telly in stock so they sent somebody to get one for us from the currys store that refused to sell us one in the first place!!0

what are you most important things in a printer?
initial cost?
running cost?
photos?
speed?
i am personally a fan of canon printers because of the quality of photos they (generally) print, this being said they are not that cheap for replacement inksDrop a brand challenge
