My mother in law gets ammonia from the chemists and leaves it in the oven overnight in a bowl of hot water to begin with, next morning all she has to do is wipe the muck off and wash down the racks with warm soapy water. You may click thanks if you found my advice useful0

Same as karen24...OVENPRIDE without doubt is the best on the market!
Throw all of the shelves into the bag, stick some Ovenpride in and leave overnight.
No scrubbing in the oven, spread it all over, just leave it on overnight, sorted!Life is a rollercoaster.....ya just gotta ride it:whistle:0 -

You can clean the shelves etc by putting them in a bath or big bowl with hot water and biological washing powder, leave it overnight and then the next morning the grime will have either fallen off or will need a very soft rub with a brush or cloth0

Put some baking spuds in the oven, cook them and then turn the oven off.
Let then spuds steam up the oven and then give it a good wipe over, lots of grime will come off.
We found this out a few years ago by accident!
