If you can face it I would send a letter, to the head office address, marked 'private and confidential' to Sir Terry Leahy - I had a problem with a broken TV a few years ago and dealt with v. uninterested customer services. I wrote the letter to him and his staff got involved - suddenly it seemed I was right and customer services were interested - they told me it was because of Sir Terry Leahy's involvement. It may happen to you as well, especially, I imagine, if you mention that you are contacting environ health! I still don't shop at Tesco now unless I have to.
Sir Terry Leahy (CEO), Tesco PLC, New Tesco House, Delamare Rd, Cheshunt, EN8 9SL.

I think he's still there until March this year.0 -
I think you've had a very bad and exceptional experience. Having shopped at Tesco for many years, don't recall any instances of meat or fruit/veg going off within very short period of time. They have also promptly refunded (double amount paid) when they have on a couple of occasions charged twice for single item (which I agree shouldn't have happened in first place). They're not perfect! They left BOGOF signs and stickers up when offer had expired and wouldn't honour the BOGOF (their choice, they weren't breaking law by not honouring and signs/stickers disappeared within minutes of us querying this). If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

I've never been served by anyone helpful or even happy in Tesco.I try to help as much as I can. But I'm also honest and speak my mind.
Smoke free since Jan 2014

The customer services people in our local Tesco are hideous - they even lied to me and then called me a liar to my face. I've also been lied to by their telephone customer service staff. I don't know why I keep giving them a "2nd" chance, they really are awful. Luckily I've not had any problems with thier food quality though.
I prefer Asda. I do seem to get over charged almost every time I shop there, but a couple of minutes and their customer service people sort out the refund!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
I have been using Tesco home delivery for a couple of years now, and their customer service is certainly excellent - the driver delivering our Christmas order battled for nearly 2 hours to get our order to us through the snow. Certainly whenver I've had a problem/missing item/query the delivery customer service has been exemplary.
New Tesco store has opened locally quite recently, so will go in and see how their customer service rates.0 -
I find tesco Fruit and veg goes off really quick.
Ive tried to convince the wife to go elsewhere and have even offered to do the shopping but she wont have it.
Our local sainsburys seem to have better quality fruit and veg that lasts longer and the store is closer..the wife still goes to tescos because she has the perception it is cheaper.
GOne day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T
Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged.
Or maybe not:mad:0
