I go through patches with the same. I find it doesn't like v cold weather plus I live in an area with poor coverage and it's been very slow to load pages since I moved in. I've no answer for you afraid but thought I'd post in sympathy! Hope someone will have an answer that helps us both!0

Do you get the same problems when connected using Ethernet.
If so could you post your router line statistics.
If not try changing the wireless channel you are using on your router. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
OK,how do I change the wireless channel and will it affect my iphone picking up the wireless signal?0

You'll need to log in to your router find its wireless settings and change the channel number. The precise details vary from router to router, suggest you google for yours.
Or as a first step download inSSIDer which will scan the wireless channels in your vicinity, if their are none using the same channel as you nearby then thats not the problem. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
No it will not affect your iPhone.
But you need to do the test using ethernet not wireless. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
I'm with AOL and have a Netgear DGN 2000. Mine used to continually lose the connection with AOL. I used to switch it off at night and also during the day if we were going out for long periods. I decided to keep it switched on all the time and I have never lost a connection since and that's about 3 months!A problem shared is a problem multiplied.0

Cheers Nobby,I do switch mine off at night and when were out of the house also. So,i'll try leaving it on to see how it is then.0

You should not switch it off as otherwise it needs to resynch every time you switch it back on. The power consumption of a router is negligible. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

Also if you keep switching it off, the network will pick this up as a problem and limit the speed to try and connect it.0

Also if you keep switching it off, the network will pick this up as a problem and limit the speed to try and connect it.
This is not strictly correct, the network will only consider it a problem if it gets a number of re-synchs in a shortish period.
Switching it off for a number of hours will not trigger the limit on speed.0
