Car Warranty for a Renault Scenic

  • To clarify, we have not gone to Renault for most of the repairs - only the front window, as they offered to accept something like 70% liability for it. The other repairs have been done by an independant garage who specialise in Renault.

Can't really live without the air conditioning though, as for some reason the windscreen steams up as soon as you start the engine, and besides, one of the reasons we bought the car is because we drive it across France to Spain in the summer, so aircon is necessary for that!

That's fine, but the advice still stands regarding the waranty ;);)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed
  • Thanks for the advice. Just out of interest, as we made need to go back to having two cars in the forseeable future, what makes would you recommend?

Not sure who your question is targeted at but if it was me, then Honda, Toyota, Subaru, Mazda, Kia and Hyundai would be amongst my makes to consider.

I would avoid anything and everything that is made by a French based company.

Unlike others I wouldn't judge by make. There do not appear to be any manufacturers that consistantly produce poor cars inspite of what some may say.
Ask yourself which cars you see broken down by the roadside most often?. The answer is very few and certainly not all the same make.

This is based on experience not predudiced opinion. You should consider all cars that fit your requiremnts.

10 years ago I would have said go vauxhall, because I have had them for years with no issues. Since then I've had or driven a wide variety of cars, not a single bad one amongt them.

All my immediate family has renaults, hence my original post. We have had no real issues. My only no no would be bmw z3's and 4's.
My brother has had 3 of these and they have cost a fortune in repairs, even compared to your bad experience.

The best car is the 1 that suits your needs best.;)
