With regard to HB I have not handed anything to them - it was done through Job Centre when I first signed on (the 29th December) However the initial questions were answered on the JSA online application on 24th December.

Have received my adjudication from Aberdeen saying "we can pay you jobseekers allowance from December 24th" - it says at the end page "Your jobseekers allowance is based on your class1 NI Contribution record"

It then says the amounts on this page apply from Jan 1st 2011

Your living expenses £65.45 pw

A reminder online application Dec 24th

1st Sign on at JCP Dec 29th

2nd Sign on at JCP Jan 7th

1st cash received Jan 12th £112.20 (9 days money)

How was this worked out ???


Housing Benefit :Received a letter dated 13/1/11 saying they received my claim on 30/12/10 - this was presumeably from the JCP interview on Dec 29th when I handed a copy of flat rental agreement and ID to someone at JCP before seeing seperate employment advisor. I have filled no application from but the online JSA application HB questions.

It goes on to say ensure you provide all the necessary information to support your claim if you have not already done so:

Original rental agreement (handed to JCP on 29th Dec)

Proof of Income (don't DWP tell them about JSA award?)

Evidence of Capital (Bank Statements etc - not handed in yet)

Does this mean I just have to hand in copies of last two months bank statements?

Also if they received it on the 30th will it be backdated to then when approved?
