Not if the estate has assets to pay the debt.traceylove wrote: »if a person dies does the c card debt get written off?
Yes. Typically the executors.does anyone have to inform the c card company?
A death certificate. Some card issuers may freeze interest once provided, although this isn't guaranteed.would they want proof?
If there are no other assets in the estate to clear the debt the card company would have no choice but to write it off. Posting them the death certificate with a letter stating there are no assets would be a starting point.what if that person left no assests of will and was divorced and living in rented? would it be written off?0
