Oh I know the feeling- just as I think I'm getting somewhere I get another unexpected expense. We just found a massive damp patch in our loft which now needs investigating and repairing- there's always something. I think we all know how it feels.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24

aw thanks everyone!, never met some a nice bunch of people!. Just pee's me off that the money I am trying to save is for the ankle biters xmas presents! now should i wrap up the roof tiles together or indivdually for them so it looks more? as at the mo, thats all they'll be getting! (I could wait until xmas for the roof repairs and claim against father xmas for the damage?)
thanks again!:A I WILL NOT USE MY SWITCH CARD:A0 -
Just another thought, were your roof tiles damaged due to bad weather, or strong winds - if so, your property insurance covers them.0

Probably you know this already, sorry if thats the case but, do check around for the glass replacement as the prices can be amazingly different. Here in Norwich there is even one that replaces with salvaged (second hand) glass and did mine for £26 and gives a guarantee. I know some people will be concerned about second hand glass but I've had no problem at all with it. Even so, did you get multiple quotes? Hope so. Sorry you are having a tough week. Hang on in there.0

ok, someone somewhere is having a laugh!, have been smelling ' smell' today and at first thought it was youngest ankle biter (she's good at producing noxious smells in her nappy) but no its the drain that ends in my garden (nothing to do with my house at all) I have other peoples poop flaoting around on my lawn!, this has happened before but the council has always cleared the drain as i am not responsible, however they have returned the contract to severn trent (have just called them) and they reckon I'm going to have to pay! please tell me this isn't so!, the houses are very old and the drains have nothing to do with me!, they can't make me pay can they?. someone is going to call bak in the next 6 hours ,meanwhile me and the kids are holding cloths soaked in stardrops to cover the smell! cos believe me it stinks! what have the neighbours been eating!:A I WILL NOT USE MY SWITCH CARD:A0
