Internet on an xbox 360?

Why would you buy both ! and maybe you can answer which in "your opinion " :beer: is best ???????

I have both (why is a long story ).

Games wise they are very similiar. Certainly very, very few games use the extra power in the PS3 and games are generally written for the lowest common denominator and then scaled up.

Features wise, the Xbox interface is bright, enthusiastic (childish?) the PS3 more sombre and adult-like. The PS3 has iPlayer, 4OD and the ITV thing as well as internet access and can play Blu-Ray discs. Internet play is a bit hit or miss as there are no dedicated servers. Xbox has Sky (useful if you have a subscription) and a much better online experience. They both stream DivX movies from a suitable NAS.

I useed to like the dashboard, but I thought that it got worse with the recent updates...(lost a lot of the effects etc.) and I don't like the latest look. Nothing I can do about it, since I want to play online, but still.
Talking about it to some friends, the idea came up that it may have been dumbed down a bit to work better with kinect, but I don't know...

I would suggest X Box interface is aimed at their target market. IMHO who prefer X Box over PS3 interface will like incrediMail :rotfl:.

What's wrong with having both? I have a PS3, and Xbox, and a Wii. Admittedly I wouldn't have the PS3 if I hadn't got it really, really cheap, but I would say that one reason for having both is that some titles aren't available on all platforms plus the consoles have different capabilities e.g. I love to play Halo, but I'm also quite partial to Little Big Planet and I like being able to play Blurays.

i had a 360 it broke so i went out and got a PS3 but never really liked it for online play so i stuck it in the cupboard and bought a new 360.

so i choose the 360 the PS3 is an abandoned beast in the wardrobe with my ps1 and ps2 its the playstation graveyard in there

The PS3 online play is really good I think and you don't have to pay.
