In my experience, there are some excellent Chinese takeaway places out, evidently yours was not one of them.

Yes there are. We have one near us that deivlers and its great.

I know what I wrote, and it meant don't go to a local Chinese takeaway that we used.

If you misinterpreted it as meaning that all Chinese takeways are awful, then it wasn't intended to be read like that.
