Surveys - wasting my time??

I seem to have tried them all but found only Pinecone and Yougov worth doing. Pinecone occasionally invite existing members to pass on a joining invitation. My last one went to a work colleague.0

Nope, never won anything from sweepstakes on any survey site - I just ignore them now.
What are mingle like?
Try emailing Valued Opinions - They responded eventually to a problem I had.
havent had a pay-out from mingle yet, and only get about 2 surveys a month. iv been a member for bout 5 months and currently have 345 points. i need 2000 before i can convert the points, so maybe in 2014! lol
valued opinions replied, but i still cant get logged in. iv emailed them again :mad:Moved into dream house - 17/08/12

I won £150 in the toluna prize draw in March 2010. it took 2 months for the to arrive, only for my bank to return it as not drawn on UK funds. I was told to return the cheque to Toluna, in France, which I did, by recorded delivery, which cost me nearly £5, and despite me emailing them numerous times since I have yet to receive a replacement cheque, which I am very annoyed by. I've earned about £90 in vouchers from them, but after the whole issue with the cheque I have had a bit of a break from them.
I don't think I will ever see my £150, which is disappointing as I could use it!0 -
I'm with Online Opinions, Valued Opinions, Ipsos, Mutual Points (though going to get to cashout then stop going on that site), Pigsback - don't bother!, Toluna. I've had payouts from Valued Opinions, Online Opinions and Mutual Points in the past without incident.
I don't do surveys very often because I find as others have that I get screened out after more than a few questions. I tend to have fits and starts with them, usually when something goes wrong and I'm a bit strapped for cash and decide to up my income.
I do often wonder why I bother and if the eventual payout would even cover the cost of the electricity used to do all those surveys. But then again, £10 Boots gift voucher to use on toothpaste, soaps and shampoos, etc. when you are broke and running out is a blessing. Also, being able to exchange Argos vouchers for cash at Christmas is a boon too! (Mom always, without fail has to buy something from Argos every Christmas!!).

I went through exactly the same process of thought as you are (as does everyone else too;))
I use Toluna as they have regular surveys I can do, and no min pay out requirement. I've also had a couple of test products sent to me at home to try, which has saved on the shopping bill (bath foam, and hair removal stuff). They are slow to pay out though, I've been waiting 3 weeks for my £15 voucher. Spending around 5 hours doing surveys got me enough points for this voucher.
It's not really worth doing if you're looking for a *good* second income, as there are far better paid part time and work from home jobs you could do (any of the internet rating co's, text services etc). But if you have spare time and just need a bit of extra cash or vouchers, this is perfect.
I'm also with Pinecone. Only had 1 survey with them in a month, but they paid me £3 in cash for it, and I got that within 2 weeks
The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0 -
I'm on Toluna - who I made £60 in vouchers from in just two months. :jI've made another £75 in the past three but I'm still waiting on them.

I'm also on New Vista but I'm not that impressed with them and they have a high pay out rate so could take a while.
But the one I'm finding best is Survey Network :A they have no min pay out rate and you get the money straight to your paypal. They also send you four to five survies a day on average and you can get from £2 to 75p a time for answering them. :T:rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0 -
Thank you so much Sparrow5870 have been wanting to get on pinecone for ages :j
Toluna get slated because it takes a long time for them to pay out. My first voucher came in about 10 days
They suspended payment over Xmas so am still waiting for my second and will be claiming my third soon!! Also through their survey have tested toothpaste, 2x crunchy nut cornflakes and crispbread-all really nice and helps with the budget not having to buy them.
Also have quickly built up a balance on Valued opinions.
Since Lightspeed becamy mysurvey have had loads of "technical" problems so not sure I would recommend them
As has been said make sure your profile is up to date and thats it really!
Good luckThanks to all posters for your never ending help and support:beer:0 -
I'm having awful problems with Lightspeed/MySurvey. When they send me an e mail 'alert' and I link to the site the survey is often not there. Also, I regularly get a message saying that I've tried to access the survey before, when I haven't. Nightmare. Just sent ANOTHER e mail, but don't know if they'll get back to me, they didn't last time. If it carries on I'll trudge on til I get to a pay out total then not bother any more I don't think. It's a shame, cos I always got on well with Lightspeed!
I'm also with Globaltestmarket, Valued Opinions and Onepoll. Have just registered my interest with Pinecone too! I'm going to sign up to Toluna, and think I'll have a look at Survey Network after reading one of the the posts above!
I share the OP's problem of being screened out a lot, but have managed to make about £30 with Lightspeed (before they became a glitch filled nightmare!), £15ish with Globaltestmarket and am up to £30 odd with Onepoll. Valued Opinions has been best for me, around £45. I started doing surveys in late 2009, so I certainly haven't made a fortune but a nice little stash for vouchers for birthdays/Christmas.0 -
I'm not an advocate for surveys as most of the time the surveys will take an awful long time without reward + I found I would inelligible for many of them too. I'd be interested in doing pinecone as it seems they give a decent amount of money for your time but still not seen a banner or been quick to get to them.
I believe the time spent doing surveys is time better spent learning and becoming better qualified to get a better pay, or trawl some charity shops for things to sell on eBay.Wins:
