Surveys - wasting my time??

I've signed upto a heap of these survey websites and keep finding that with most of them I get into answering their questions and get told I'm not eligable - I'm not falling into their brackets do to speak.
Feels at the moment that I'm wasting my time rather than upong my income!!!
I'm 30, living in my own place with a mortgage with my oh. I work fulltime as a nanny.
Any thoughts??

I also joined heaps, but now only do 1 or 2, i get bored easily and find the cash slow to increase with these things. So far i'm finding Valued Opinion and of course P1ne Cone to be the best of the bunch.0

I've been paid by Toluna, IPSOS, Pinecone, Global Test Market, [STRIKE]Lightspeed[/STRIKE]*, Valued Opinions, and [STRIKE]Media Transfer[/STRIKE] Harris Interactive.
I also do YouGov, PureProfile, Panelbase, OnePoll, HarrisPollOnline.
I'm a low earner, since I have spates of doing them, then I might not bother for a while, but I'm happy to do them as and when I feel like it.
Make sure your profile is updated as thoroughly as you are able, and set the amount of emails you want to receive. When you get an email, read what it's about, how long it will take and how much you will get for that, if possible; then decide whether you want to do that particular survey.
Some surveys will 'kick you out' after a couple, or annoyingly, quite a few questions! (just did one that took over an hour, then it 'said' that the survey wasn't available! I've emailed them.) but we all get that from time to time.
Hope that helps
*Lightspeed is now MySurvey. I wasn't updated/'moved over'. Can't access. Withdrew before it changed anyway, so not too bothered.0 -

you have a very similar demographic to me and although I do get screened out of quite a few I still have enough to be getting on with. I have been doing surveys for a few years but in the last few months I have really put some effort in to increase my earnings. I am now a member of over 20 sites and am disappointed if I earn less than £50 a month. Not enough to retire to the Bahamas quite yet! Which sites are you a member of?0 -

I'm with Toluna (lots of surveys) and Pinecone (Highest pay and vouchers sent straight away, although less surveys). These ar ethe only ones I've found to be worth it. Not sure how it works, but Toluna seems to pull data from other survey sites so you end up doing ones from global test market, juicybrain etc, but all through one site
You can get past most of the eligibility criteria by saying you're married, no kids, work in local government (and not in sales, advertising, marketing etc)
The only thing we know for sure, is that we know nothing0 -
I've been doing Lightspeed and Valued Opinions for long enough. Are there any others that are worth doing?
Just looked at the Pinecone website and you can't join directly - how often do they put banner ads up for recruiting?0 -
Thank you everyone - off the top of my head I'm on onepoll- valuedopinions - yougov - ipos - opinion world - global test Market - panelbase -
Okay not off the top off my head I looked in my email trash!
I have all the info surveys completed on all of them.
What sites are your favourites?0 -
i do toluna and mingle
has anyone ever won anything from the sweepstake on toluna? i get loads of 'entries' every month but no winnings....is this just a con?
tried to sign up to valued opinions but it said im already registered, but not recognising my email or log in, hmmmm. :mad:Moved into dream house - 17/08/12
Savings - £600Xmas 2013 - £43Credit card - £2741 :eek:0 -
Im with Toluna (my fave site. Have had £60 of vouchers since middle of november so happy) but to answer loveGSDs question i have never won a sweepstake either and i have nearly 200 tickets a month.
Also on valued opionions which i find is a good site also on onepoll which although does take a while to get to your credit limit the surveys are short so i dont mind doing them. There the only 3 sites i really use at the moment0 -

Nope, never won anything from sweepstakes on any survey site - I just ignore them now.
What are mingle like?
Try emailing Valued Opinions - They responded eventually to a problem I had.0
