How long is the contract for? I don't think it's necessarily a bad phone, but you could get it on PAYG for £35 and then pay £10/month for the same or more minutes, texts and data so yeah that sounds like a pretty terrible deal to me.

I understand from another thread that this was a 24 month contract with Vodafone.

You can buy the same phone on PAYG from Vodafone for £30 and then get a Vodafone SIM only contract on the exact same tariff for £15/month.

Over 2 years that's a total cost of £390 compared to £600 for the same phone on the same tariff with the same network.

I can't believe the salesman wouldn't have realised the deal was so over priced, so I'm calling rip-off on this one!

If your other half just signed up, then there should still be time to cancel the deal and return the phone (within 5 working days I believe? But may be more)

    This one http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.209-4593.aspx ?

Would be interested in other opinions as I have been looking at it as a PAYG but using my ultra cheap tesco value sim.

  • Something isn't adding up here, did you get a "free" gift, or cashback or a buyout deal? I'm going to be honest here and say that's an awful deal!
