How did my dog get fleas and worms?

Re muzzle.
I also have a small dog which thanks to the advice on this forum, now muzzle when out walking. Chewing gum and cigs were more her thing but if eating unwanted items causes problems I would recommend it. She looks ridiculous but it solves the problem!
Thanks- he eats chewing gum, cigs, horse/cat poo, dead animals.... an endless list really. Not to mention being a bit snappy towards other dogs. I suppose all these reasons should make me put one on. I've been holiding off but I think after the worms which are possibly from eating some of these, I should go ahead! Thanks for that

One of the most effective ways to stay flea free that I've found is the vacuum cleaner. I can't use chemicals in most of my rooms as they are toxic to either my fish or my snakes, so this is my non chemical alternative. I also use spot on regularly, on dogs and cats to combat any that they might pick up outside.
Living in the country my cats associate with many stray/farm cats who I strongly suspect aren't always de flead!
Eggs can lie dormant for ages, so repeated vacuum cleaning is a good way that I've foung to ensure that they don't reappear.0 -
