Beware Talk/talk/tiscali

Like many on this forum I have had problems with this company and through my experience I would like to warn anyone thinking of leaving them, first thing to do once you have been activated by your new ISP is cancel all direct debit accounts you have with T/T/tiscali because they will still continue to take money from your account even after you have left them.
I went with BT at the start of Nov 2010 and within a few days I received a Nov bill (for the whole month) from T/T/tiscali, after over 20 emails and numerous phone calls I got an email today saying they owed me nothing as I had only cancelled with them on the 4th Jan 2011 at odds with the loads of emails I have had over the last 2 months all saying that they are looking into it and agree that they owe me money and it would be sorted in 7 to 10 days.

Just go another email they now agree with me, see below
from talk talk - Dear Mr.*****
Thank you for taking time to write in.
I understand from your email that you have a query regarding billed post cancellation.
I understand just how frustrating this issue has become for you, and I apologise for the inconvenience this matter has caused.
However, I have checked our records and found that your call package service has been ceased on 5th November 2010 and your broadband service has been ceased on 12th November 2010. As per your BT invoice your services went live with them on 4th November 2010. Hence, I found that you are liable for a refund for the month of November 2010 from 4th November 2010.
However, I regret to inform you that at present we are unable to process your request due to the fact that we are now in the final stage of moving your TalkTalk account onto our new and improved next generation network and billing system. Prior to moving your account we need to carry out some essential maintenance work on the My Account section of the TalkTalk website. It is therefore not possible to make changes or apply any credit/refund to your TalkTalk account (either online or by phone) until the 20th January 2011. Hence, I would request you to contact us via email or by phone after the 20th January 2011 in order to process your refund request.

and it goes on and on but some light at the end of the tunnel.0
