Great result, nice to see DFS giving a bit of customer service for a change.0

I just have visions of you sat on the other one trying to eat your tea off the dining table but not being able to see what you're doing on account of being sat too low!
Good result though. :j"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
my neighbours had to take their window out to get there dfs sofa in. It wasn't the front door that was the prob it was the angle of getting the sofa down the hallway and turning into lounge as stairs were in way.0

I have a 4 seater DFS sofa, and thankfully the delivery guys were very helpful, I live in a 1st floor flat and the arms came off the sofa so wasn't any problems, but they said other companies won't even try. I felt a bit silly as even though we measured the doors etc and have wide hallways I didn't take into account how high it would be!! I can't praise the drivers enough for their help.
Glad it worked out well for you x"Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little." Edmund Burke

I believe taking out a window is actually "no big deal" but they need to know about that before delivery!0 -

I ordered a 2 three seater sofas in december from dfs but i now realise i should have got 1 three seater and 1 two seater because there is no way they will fit into my room. I have contacted dfs and they have said they will see if they can allocate it to someone else if they order the exact same item. If this is possible then all my worries are over but what if they cant allocate it to another customer then will i be stuck with it. Whats the worst casescenario here. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
What, someone offers the same sofa and they'll fob them off with a second hand one from your lounge? Remind me not to buy from them next timeI want a sofa!
Surely it's just your bad luck, and you should try ebay or your local paper to sell it.0 -

Read the previous posts. The lady does not take delivery until Feb.
So DFS have added her unwanted undelivered sofa to another customers order. Who did want it.
DFS should be applauded for doing this.
DanWe used to to shop at Tesco. But then we saw the light.0 -
Im about to order a 2 and 3 seater sofa from dfs and also worried that it will not fit through living room door!
The sofas will fit through front door easy and they will just need to go straight forward into living room so do not have to go round any bends etc.
I was wondering if anyone has had the same experience? it seems that all the sofas have the same measurements.0
