Sainsburys shopping delivery - food past shelf life

That's a good outcome too, I find that sainsbury's customer service is often very good.

'Sell by' dates are simply there to make sure that the customer has a minimum amount of time to eat the product once they have it at home. This will of course vary per product, but I would expect home delivery items to not have any later dates than those in the shop. But deliveries will always give you the items they are wanting to get rid of first!
