Malestrom wrote:Had my D500 since early December - I was lucky to get one of the first phones that OSPS had in. Very happy with the phone, it really is a superb bit of kit. Get a bluetooth dongle for your PC (about £15) and you can upload MP3's, wallpapers and Java games. My D500 currently has over 40 games on it, the whole of Green Day's American Idiot album, a whole bunch of pics and a few vids and i've still got 18MB memory free. No problems of any kind so far, i'm really impressed.
Please can u share with us how you got the games onto your phone via bluetooth ive tried but so far only got 1 game loaded via download also what games? and where could we find them? The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
to download the games via bluetooth is quite a complicated process but is explained in full detail on the following website.
http://315.fiberworld.nl/d500/
on the above website there is also a link to a page that also has loads of games for the d500 which can be downloaded free and thus transferrable to your phone.
i spent 2 days trying to configure the above to download the games but failed miserably mainly because windows xp service pack 2 messes up bluetooth devices and tries to use its own drivers.
hope you have better luck than me.-....-.---.---. ..... .- -.-.

discount2door.com wrote:Don't know about this one but we have some samsung phones and others in price plummet currently at 50% but they will go to 60% discount off original selling price, making them very very cheap, they will be at the reduced price from the morning of Saturday 19th Feb check out https://www.discount2door.com
I hope you guys don't mind me posting this but i thought i'd tell you first.
Get there and be quick in the morning.
Tip - don't try and order too many at a time as our credit/fraud guys will bounce the order for referall, even if you are paying by credit card, they look for these sort of things in case people try and rip us off. The stock might disappear and you will miss out. Also the same might happen if you place multiple orders at the same address. Therefore If you want more than a couple be careful how many you order at the same address on the same transaction.
Sorry tried to use D2D once before website took order but never got the goods as they were sold out.
Won't ever be using again myself.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -
Does anyone know of any other decent offers for this phone?
I want an offer that works out as cheap as possible, because I'll be putting my own Sim Card into it anyway.Snootchie Bootchies!0 -
Cheapest I've seen it is on BT Mobile. They have a half price deal for six months at which point you can lower the tariff. Their cheapest tariff is £12.50 a month
So £14.99 x 6 plus £12.50 x6 = £164.94.
For the first six months you get 200 cross network minutes and 50 texts plus up to 1000 minutes of 2 minute calls to 01 and 02 numbers.
There might be cheaper cash back deals but if you can't afford the higher monthly charge for those I think the BT deal is hard to beat.0 -

Also being slightly cheeky, can you get any money off if you hand in an old phone (non-contract) or even Student discount?Snootchie Bootchies!0 -

Can anyone confirm this? that u are allowed to change the plan after 6 months and pay just 12.50 per month instead of 33 pounds?0 -
Try phones4u they tend be give discount and can be bartered with, but online deals still seem to be king try here: http://www.onestopphoneshop.com/ourdeals.php?PROV=121&OFF=1D500&TAR=RELAX2 it does default to 18 month just change to 12 got 7 months half price on a 200 xnet or try here: http://www.fonetasticmobile.co.uk/1/showphones.php?item=3173 for a 7 months half price on a 12 month 100 xnet. I've used both companies in the past and had no problems at all.
One stopphoneshop do do a recommend a friend scheme and I'm ahppy to split the money with you, PM me for details - not sure if I can post this on here?! If not let me know and I'll remove/edit my post.2p off is still 2p off!0 -

The BT Mobile D500 offer only seems to be availble from https://www.bt.com/btmobile (not sure about BT shops). I've only seen 3 months half price on it from dealers.
It's in the T&Cs that you can change tariff after 6 months.0
