Not sure if this is quite the right area, but nevermind.
Mrs SS, is a few weeks away from giving birth to our first child, a little boy.
I'd like to buy her a gift to give to her after the birth, I don't mind splashing out a bit because I've done a load of overtime at Christmas.
Any suggestions?

No ideas on a gift but just in case you weren't planning to:
Do all the cooking - with newborns you sometimes forget to eat.
Take turns in the night unless she is BF.
Give her time for sleeps in the day.

A lovely necklace.
Something to treasure forever - which doesn't include a £10 9ct MUM chain from Helf Price Jewellers (in case the idea had occurred to you
) I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Something that can be engraved with the date/name/occasion perhaps.0

I got a pandora bracelet with a baby boy bootee charm when I had my baby. That was nice as it means I can add to it at other special times through life.Whether you think you can, or think you can't, you are usually right.0

I was going to say a Pandora bracelet too. My DD had one for xmas and I think its lovely. Mind you make sure you get the real thing as there is lots of fakes out there!I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
When our first was born, my OH bought me a lovely ring with DS's birthstone in it. It's the only thing I never ever take off. We could have got it engraved, but I've never felt the need. I probably would have loved it had he done so though.
It was lovely to me to be given something that would last forever.0
