Boots 75% off sale - possible date

Just back from the London Colney branch. Staff there had fully expected it today and had scanned stuff themselves to find out for sure as they wanted to buy some stuff so it's not just the customers that Boots are playing with!!! I overheard one staff member asking a manager when the 75% sale is and can he please let her know beforehand! lol

Hello guys,

So i went into boots this morning ready to collect all my bargains, and it was all still 1/2 price.
I asked and was advised that it was due to to start today but wasnt, and it would start next week..
Would like to know if any other boots have started there sales?
Or if you guys have been told the same thing?

Well that was exciting!
After passing and seeing 75% off signs in local small boots on way to work I headed up there at 8.55 two other ladies outside - the inside of store had 75% off signs everywhere.
SA opened doors told us systems not up yet but to work away and get what we wanted and come to till, lots of stock to choose from.
Next, managers comes out and says their systems are down but we can pick what we want and leave behind till until later when system is up!! (Wont says which store incase they get in trouble!)
When we were at till manager comes out again and apologises because they have just been informed its next week not this week!!
SAs kindly returned everything to shelves for us

I am a newbie here, tho I have read this forum for the last few years, I have nothing to do with Boots other than being a customer of theirs especially during the 75% sale. Always checked this forum in past years to find out when the sale would be, and joined in on discussion yesterday, cos it was entertaining, and I was enjoying the "its definately on tomorrow" "its definately not on tomorrow" drama :rotfl:
Am so glad of any info because my nearest big Boots is 45 miles away, so dont want to have 90 mile round trip only for it not to be on and to go again next week.
Couldnt move away from the forum last night, got carried away with whole thing:rotfl: and best of it is - dont really need that much but have convinced myself I just have to be there to get bargains - its as bad as waiting for a VIP invite from Next::eek:

Last year I seem to remember one of the small stores overrode all the prices manually believing the sale had started allowing some customers to get their bargains a week early!! Shame that didn't happen to you.

Morning all, been into my small local store and also my large main branch. both still showing as 50% off. in the main branch i spoke to the friendly MANAGER WHO STATED THAT IT IS DEFFO NOT TODAY!!!!!!!! HE SAID ITS LOOKING MORE THAN LIKELY FOR NEXT WEEK( HIS EXACT WORDS)!! :T:j

i did buy something out of 50% sale, manager served me and it was 50% of original price- he didtn over ride till .:(

so phew- sigh of relief and roll on for next week! :T

I don't work for boots either! I just want to know when it is. Im new to the 75% off sale. I only found out it happens last year when it was too late!
