Boots 75% off sale - possible date

Do I drive to my local to see if I can spot the sale signs, would that make me a bit mad, hubby already thinks so when I told him I'm staying up, he asked why as I bought all the kids toys for birthdays/christmas etc, I couldn't honestly answer except mumbliong something about hard to buy for people on a budget lol

Update from today's Noz round the Lakeside Boots - There are loads of GOK, Strictly and Fearne sets. There are also a fair few of the £25 FCUK sets.

They also have a few Extracts sets, Elle McPherson sets (the small ones), few botanics sets, front cover sets and Sex and the City make up sets.

Does anyone know what the Stock is like in the Basildon store?

Talking of sale signs, last year in my local store they didn't put the signs up about an hour before they opened on the day.

Those pesky Boots managers dont want us knowing do they!!?

UPDATE AS PROMISED FROM ME . . . THE OP WHO STARTED THIS THREAD!

Well, I have spoken to my SA friend an hour ago who informed me that she & her mother who both work in Boots (Newport, Gwent) have been informed there is no sale tomorrow.

I have also today rung 2 stores in Newport and 'huge' Boots store in cardiff who all said no sale starting tomorrow, I then rung Newport again at 5.30pm (just to make sure) and was told that 'there is definately no 75% sale starting tomorrow.'

My neighbour also contacted her friend who works in Newport store directly at the store and was told the sale has been cancelled and put off until further date (like the did last year) and she would let her know as soon as new date confirmed!

That's 3 no's in one day so I'm reluctantly telling myself 'dont go and queue from 7.30am tomorrow and wait until you at least have a 'yes, the sale is on!' Decisions decisions, what do I do?

I hope it is tomorrow. From memory I thought it was nearer the end of the month. I seem to remember that there was all this hype last year and then it wasn't on and it was put back...hope that doesn't happen again! Either way I've not taken the risk of missing out so I've taken the morning off work and if it isn't on then I'll be doing the same again next week! haha. Been the last few years and got some great bargains. The last couple of years I got there at lunch time/afternoon and it was mainly bath stuff and the shelves were getting bare but there was still nice stuff like ted baker and fcuk and I still managed to buy as much as I could possibly carry! haha. Bring it on! Woop!
Sometimes I wonder is it sad to be this excited but it is reassuring to see that so many people are the same! haha.
Hope you all get some bargains!
