Which Broadband Provider

DD has a laptop and dongle. She has a deactivated BT line. Now she is asking me about Broadband. My broadband and phone is with two different companies. Am I right in thinking that she will have to pay line rental on top of Broadband payment. Ive looked and some appear to include rental. Am I right in thinking she will have to pay on top of that to have her phone line reconnected.

Depends on the supplier, there are deals a plenty available. Just don't use BT!Estate Agent, Web Designer & All Round Geek!0

Yes to get Broadband she will require a working phone line, unless she gets Virgin Cable Broadband Only.It has nothing to do with the supplier.
If her home has had a telephone service in the recent past, and the wiring and socket is undamaged and the line still has a dial tone, it's likely she will not need to pay a connection charge, but otherwise a connection charge will normally apply.
