I've just been to asda to do the weekly shop and was suprised to find the baby event on.
Looks like they have started early to keep up with Sainsburys!
They also had the SMA 1.6kg tins of follow on milk for £10 and 900g tin cow&gate growing up milk for £5. Also had the big boxes of huggies on offer, think they were £9 but don't hold me to that!!
I got some nappies, TT pelican bib for £1 and cup! Feel quite proud on how restrained I was!!
Happy shopping! :beer::beer:0 -

Looking for a bit of help here ladies,
daughter is due to have her 1st baby girl on 22nd feb, she has already bought most of the big stuff, pram, steraliser cot etc
i'm off to boots tomorrow to get a bucket load of there wipes that are on offer, as i think that they are cheaper than the ones at asda,
but what nappies should i get, i've only bought 1 pack of huggies newborn, for the hospital.
is there anything else on the leaflet that you think we should get?
thanks0 -
Anybody buying the nappies - the big boxes are also on offer in Morrisons for the Pampers Simply Dry, I got a box of 80 Size 4 for £7 which works out at less than 9p a nappy, the same ones in Asda are in boxes of 90 for £11 which works out at just under 10p a nappy. Not much difference but it all adds up!:j30/7/10:j

They are different nappies though, the boxes in asda are baby dry. The Simply Dry are £8 so cheaper at morrisons!
Personally, I find the Simply Dry ok during the day, but prefer to use the baby dry at night, tends to have less leaks and LO doesn't get as irritated.
I think both types are good deal! So many choices and so many deals in so many shops, why can't they price match to save me a journey! Lol

We find the Simply Dry ones dreadful. Tesco and Sainsburys own ones are better quality then them.
I bought a pack the other day(first time since they were released) as we ran out of our stash from the last Asda baby event. We've had multiple leaks in a couple days and I've regretted going cheap whilst we waited for 200 Babydry to arrive from Boots.0 -
