Just another three closing 2g thread

Hi there

So in my village I always had signal problems but providing I was by a window or upstairs I could just about make and receive texts but calls where dodgy.

Then in novemeber the signal got a whole lot worse to barely usable. After a while I saw here that three were closing their 2g sharing with orange so I rang them up (last week) to see if that had happened to me.

This morning I was rang by 2nd line tech support and they told me they have closed the 2g sharing in my area, however it has never shown me as having used the 2g sharing facility. I believe this is true as I have never had orange appear on my phone in this country.

They have refered me to a higher level tech support in investigate and have kindly halved my monthly bill while the investigation takes place.

Just to get some more infomation on the subject, if I never could use the 2g service (before I either got poor signal or no signal) could the closing of the 2g mast have had any affect on my signal even though I never used it?

depending on your phone, you may not have noticed.. Three managed to frigg their sims to show "three" even when on orange 2g. all you would have seen is the 3g symbol or not, as it changed over.
