    Dear Diary,

Even though a line has been drawn under it _______ I would like to make sonething absolutely clear here and now, as I know that people are apt to adding 2 + 2 and making 5 .....

AT NOT TIME, IN THE PAST OR THE PRESENT HAVE I EVER REPORTED POSTS, OR A POSTER ON THIS BOARD, TO THE MEDIATORS. ANY RECENT DELETIONS HAVE NOT BEEN AS A RESULT OF ANY ACTION ON MY PART.
ANY OPINIONS I HAVE VOICED, HERE IN MY DIARY, ARE MINE AND MINE ALONE. IF SOMEONE FEELS THE NEED TO ASK ME OUTRIGHT, AND DO NOT FEEL ABLE TO DO IT HERE, ARE MORE THAN WELCOME TO PM ME.

    ______________________________________________________________

I think the weather is breaking - we have got grey skies, must be time to go back to work. :( Still, a bit of rain will mean I no longer have to cart buckets of water up and down the stairs to water the plants. Not good for the carpet or my back......

I haven't been paid for my mystery shops in March. Payment was supposed to be by the 24th of the following month (April) and then an email came round saying that it would be in my account by May 2nd - still zilch...... and then they had the cheek to ring me last week and ask me to do an assignment the following day at a place 20 miles away! I said, No Thanks, No more until I get paid.....

I can see now how people struggle to get surveys. Since I have been working full time nearly all the surveys are full by the time I log on. I used to catch them as soon as they were released and got plenty.... not now. Still, a small price to pay as long as I have got other paid work instead.

The council, in all their wisdom, have now moved a young single mother into the flat opposite mine. It is upstairs, as well and the previous tenants moved after noise problems with the people downstairs. This concept of integrating all types of people into a mixed community just isn't working and because of the soundproofing problems the only tenants causing problems with others at the moment are the young families. There was a bit of a row yesterday (which I stayed well out of) and you just know that it is going to get worse. Good Move, Housing Department! :(

Not too much to say.... thanks everyone again... beanie, sw, copperjar, dojo, Dragon et al. I have got my "Board Blinkers" on now and am moving forwards on my Debt Free journey.....

    Hugs

Good to have you back, SA!

Did you ever ask the council if they could do something about the noise - add some under-carpet or under-floorboard stuff?

I do some surveys, but only when I have time to go and look to see if they are there. I tried logging into the sites regularly, but it was just too time-consuming for the rewards, especially when I got kicked off so many for not having children, or being too old, or too single.

Are you back at work today? I worked all weekend, but I didn't mind. We were surprisingly busy in the shop. The hound didn't like it much - she has to stay in the office while I am in the shop, but she jumped through the post office hatch ( ) and came to visit once or twice! The main problem with working yesterday is that I had to respond several thousand times (all right, a bit of an exaggeration) to "There's a change in the weather" because yesterday was dull and rainy. Why all the customers thought that I hadn't noticed, I don't know.

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

Back home after a bit of a fiasco at work. Arrived this morning to find that all the keyholders were on holiday except for 1 and he was running late!!!!! What great organisation, huh? So after the staff were kept waiting for 25 mins we finally got into work.

Busy, busy day and so many emails to deal with. Late/missing deliveries, broken choccie, forgotten gifts .... and the list went on and on. My colleague managed to find second gear and wasn't too bad but a bit more application would be a lot better. :( My manager rang 3 times and has organised for me to have her key from tomorrow and then I can stay a bit later and lock up after myself. Must be doing something right..... ;)

MrT is still alive and kicking despite digging up and eating bone plant fertiliser yesterday! What a gannet - he also managed to find a discarded sausage roll on the pavement during our lunchtime walk. After trying to wrestle it off him for a few minutes I gave up - he has got jaws like a clamp.
Wordsmith, that is so funny with yours jumping through the post office hatch. Brilliant :D
sw - I love you, you are such a little star.

My Monday session at the HA has been cancelled but I am going to be on the Interviewing panel for new Contractors :rotfl::rotfl: mind you - it is for Electricians, perhaps I could set them a practical test, wiring in my new cooker.... cheeky!

Not going to stay here too long, tea to cook, footie to watch, dreams to dream ..... you know how it is.

I must apologise for the spelling in my posts sometimes - it is a combination of being in a hurry, tired and also the fact that my keyboard is a little too high and I end up getting near misses at times rather than what I actually mean to type. :o

    Hugs

"Why am i a star?" asks savingwannabe..... :)

    Because -

-of your unfailing enthusiasm, even when feeling poorly or tired
    -your caring nature
    - your need to see that everyone is "looked after"
    - your funny little messages and daft ideas (like marrying everyone off
    - because - you are you ;)

The sun is shining and the car was iced up this morning  my poor few strands of pampas grass might just have found last night a little bit too cold, let's hope not.

Ready for Day 2 of being in charge - I hope the email list is a bit smaller today and it strarts going down..... pleeasse?

One thing I have learnt is how people like to hide behind the written word - people write the most stroppy comments in complaints and feedback for the slightest of things, then when you ring them up and try and resolve things they actually back peddle and apologise for what they have written. A good idea is to take a while to think about what you want to say and then write in a calm, reasonable fashion. Stroppy doesn't get you any more than polite at first - stroppy comes when you have had no joy after the first attempt. Then it is all guns firing - hey MrA.... :(

Not got too long - I was very pleased to be one step ahead of the dustmen this morning and put the rubbish out last night. Last week they came round at 5am!!! and nobody was prepared for that. They must have done their round in record time, I reckon. They came this morning at about 6am but it has gone, thank heavens, otherwise it would have been a trip to the tip.

Anyway, speak later.... been paid for mystery shops but it is £8 short... why can't life be simple?

    Hugs

Thank you so much . I was ill in the night (silly me I should have eaten bread instead of digestive biccies like everyone said last night) before bed! so you have cheered me up.

A busy day for all of us I see. We must focus on the sunshine and think happy thoughts.

Blooming heck how much do your dustmen get paid to come round so early? Maybe i am in the wrong job!

    Have a good day.

Are you down to three days a week while your manager is away? That must make it awkward for you - you'd have thought they'd want you there five days a week for a couple of weeks.

Your talk of dustmen has reminded me that I have a bag of rubbish in the boot of my car - and it's been there for over two weeks! You have to pay loads here to get your bins collected, or pay €5 a bag at the tip and €4 to take stuff to be recyled (and the tip is a 20-mile round trip for me). I have arranged with someone I work with to pay towards her bin and throw a bag into it once a month or so, and a couple of bags of recycling. I put the rubbish in the back of my car and keep forgetting to give it to her when I see her. It is probably festering nicely now.

That is daylight robbery Wordsmith, do you have Community Tax over there? I hope not, if they are charging that much to have rubbish collected. That must smell nice in the car, I must say!

Yes, I am full time this week, well 4 days, and then back to 3 days from next week. I actually stayed an hour later tonight and had the keys to lock up so got a bit of peace and quiet to play catch up.

Not too bad at work today, we have got quite a bit done, I shall be glad when it is back to normal though. My wages are very poor considering the responibility and duties that I have got. Shouldn't moan but it is very low :(

Chin up, smile on my face, tomorrow is another day.

Hi sw, Hope you are feeling better today. You mustn't overdo stuff - working, eating, socialising - you know..... stuff ;)

    Hugs
