Use one of these.0 -
Try and put them against a neutral background. Preferably black, or white.0

All the most helpful, charming and intelligent posters having a rendez-vous on this thread, I see....
OP your question is a bit too general, there are so many things to take into account. How you do it will depend on how much you list, and how much it's worth investing in good photos, in terms of equipment.
This guide gives you some information, you may find it helpful, although if you only list a few items now and again it may not be what you need:

some people use a mannequin, many take pics with the clothes lying flat, or on a hanger.
Missy Size and Plus size have different requirements as well.
You may want to look at some really good sellers in your specific category, and find what sells well.0 -
I always hang it up against a neutral background - usually a door, and use a flash, brings out the colours or shininess of the material.0

I gave good advice. Works for me anyway.

i would put it on a neutral background, i usually hang it on the back of a white door
i try and take the photo at a time when there is a lot of daylight i try not to use the flash too much and sometimes it can make the garment colour look slightly different i.e sometimes black clothes can look more grey, that can't always be helped though and i always write in the listing if the photo has made the colour come out slightly different
try and use a proper camera and not a mobile phone if you can help it because mobile phone cameras dont tend to come out very well when the picture is made bigger0 -
If you can, use a neutral background such as a bedsheet, and hang it by a window. A photo taken using natural light really shows-up the colours. If this isn't possible, try shooting in RAW format then using something like 'UFRaw' or 'RAWTherapee' to adjust the white balance.Never Knowingly Understood.

Don't know if you are responding to my post, but just to be absolutely clear, my comments were not addressed to you, or any of the posters who give their genuine opinion, regardless of me agreeing with them or not, this is what this board is all about
, but those who make fun of the OP.
Also, to the OP, I like using Let me Just Google it for you, I think its funny, no offence meant. Just realised it may seem a bit patronising
