If you have a local independent bra shop you can often get a great service and they can order bras in for you, mine calls me to tell me they have new stuff in my size. I am a lot older than you ( my DD is your era LOL) and I spent years in gross ugly and ill fitting M & S bras. Now I have bras in lots of fantastic colours and styles from Freya, Curvy kate etc. M & S had me down as 42D I am actually 36 FF in a proper fitting bra woo hoo!

Figleaves do a great job and you can often get money off and free delivery.

Invest in amazing undies it will do your self confidence the world of good!

Another vote for Debenhams. I like the Gorgeous range too and Freya is my favourite, but I look for these in the sales as they are pricey.
Once you have had a really good bra fitting you will understand better how a well fitting bra should look and feel which helps for your future purchases!

    34B at M&S to 32FF at Bravissimo!

I buy my bras in the sales or if you do a search for user bluemonkey and go to the website on her profile you'll find some really cheap bras in larger sizes that look really nice. If you need them now then definitely check out debenhams and marks and spencers (using the bravissimo size!).

Another vote for Bravissimo from me. I definitely won't go anywhere else. The last time I went in I must have tried on about 12-15 different bras on, many different makes but supposedly the same cup size, and I ended up buying two of the same ones as that particular style was the only one that fitted perfectly. The assistant was absolutely fabulous.
  • Another vote for Debenhams, I really like their Gorgeous range, for the most part they're very comfy and supportive - the plain t shirt bras do wonders!
  • I'd go for debenhams every time, I shop when they have sales and have found some lovely things in my size. Also theres a thread on the grabbit board a 2 pack of littlewoods bras reduced to £5 in the sale, they had some larger sizes they may have yours.

  • Just wanted to update. I went into bravissimo last week, and got measured at a 32GG in there (M&S had me at a 34FF). Ended up going into my overdraft to get a couple of new bras but I feel like I'm in heaven! No back pain, and they look fabulous under my clothes (and even had a few comments from my boyfriend too ;) ) thankyou ladies, you are incredible!!

Asda do a fantastic new bra called "the one" I'm actually hooked on them and about to order some more! They are plunge push up bras up to a G cup so you get a nice cleavage instead of some of the other bras that sort of squash your boobs and make them look saggy (or is that just my boobs lol)

  • Freya makes some lovely bras in bigger sizes.

    I agree! Love their bras.

the very best place to get fitted for a bra - if you have one near you - is Rigby & Peller. They only have to look at you to know what size you are and are always bang on.
