Hi Hollie,

I'm surprised you are having your banns read already- we were told they had to be read no more than 3 months before the wedding. Maybe it varies between churches?

Am trying to get our invites out but oh STILL hasn't finalised his guest list, hasn't decided who to give +1's to, who's children to invite, and hasn't decided if he wants to invite his friend's parents, sister and her partner! I just want to get them sent out now, I am sick of all the faffing about and nagging him to write me a list!

I have no idea,in 4 days time it will be exactly 3 months until the wedding no its not far off i guess.While we was there,there were two couples who had to shout out because he hadnt read there banns out,there name wasnt in the book but they had letters to say today was there reading,and one of them wasnt marrying until september so like u say it must vary.

O no,tell him to get a move on,our venue wants the rest of the payment june so its lucky we sent ours out when we did.

Argh how embarrassing that they missed off some of the banns :eek:

Love the invites, ever so pretty I resisted ribbons and embellishments in the end as I couldn't justify the extra postage costs of having to send them with large letter stamps due to the extra thickness- stamps are just so expensive now I've bought enough for our invites and thank you cards but when my stamp stash had run out I don't think I'll be able to justify posting much any more, which is such a shame as I love sending cards and letters.

Yeah i sent 15 invites out and didnt think twice about the ribbon so sent it as normal 1st,but only 2 out of the 15 had to pay for it,i didnt even think it would be a problem,didnt make sense though as all the invites were exactly the same and the ribbon was measured out and tied the same on each invite yet 2 had to pay the extra.they were only a6 size aswell.
luckily for us alot of our guests live local so thank you card wont cost to send out,maybe a book of 12 will have to be bought for those that will have to be posted.

well we have booked to go to ironbridge for 4 nights oh is from telford anyway but i love ironbridge my mum and dad are paying it for us so thats nice.

Well the dresses fitted - so another job off the list, just shoes and hair to sort.

The flowers are sorted too, my daughter went with me and was great for ideas and suggestions. We are going for a mix of silk and real flowers in colours that coordinate with the various outfits that everyone is wearing.

Not many replies yet! Could be a quiet Wedding!!:rotfl:

Hello everyone,
Started getting my replies in and so far everyone seems to have been able to use our rsvp website (set up by tech savie OH), so thats a load of my mind.
And finally bought my bridesmaid dresses, in the end they ended up having different styles and different colours (!) - one in dark lilac, one in light liac but actually they go well together and think my little flower girl will either have a really light lilac dress or an ivory one, so hopefully will all be ok - it wasnt worth the agro of trying to get two completely different shaped women to have the same dress!
Started trying to make the order of service booklets now, just gotta decide what music to have for entrance and exit - do I go traditional bridal marches or something different? any advice?
Hope everyone elses plans are going well, not long to go now!!! x

hi all wow were all very busy well put a deposit down well my mum for 4 nights away and my mum and dad are paying for it.
booked my hair, make up and eye lashes so thats all sorted, seen my flowers, my sisters and my daughters and button holes their looking great. starting sun beds next week. Got my sons shirts and nephews and only thing left to do really is get my daughters shoes and sons. just want it to come round now its all exciting xxx
