Booking Sun Holiday for 2 families?

Hi, I wonder if any of you managed this last year?

My friend & her children would like to go to Butlins, as we went last year & raved about how much our son loved it.. so we were thinking about booking the same dates on the booking form and hoping we both get the same week.
But, can we just book for 10 people( 6 of them, 4 of us) on one form, and then they will give us 2 lots of accomodation?
Or do we just need to try our luck and keep our fingers crossed we get the same dates?
Thanks!

  • I'd like to know about this too please. I don't want to risk booking seperately and not getting the same holiday so I was considering booking as one group and then ringing the park. We've done the holidays before but never with another family and would be grateful for advice and experiences of others who have been in this situation.

You can do this with priority codes as you just book on the computer and ensure you get what you want, although you'll be too late to add to the priority code list if you haven't received one.

Other than that, sorry I'm not much help really. I would maybe collect the two application forms and staple them together and post in the same envelope??
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....

From the Sun FAQ section - 'In order to have booked 2 units of accommodation you will have needed to send 2 completed application forms with the necessary tokens for us to be able to do this for you. Unfortunately due to number 10 of the terms and conditions 'ABSOLUTELY NO AMENDMENTS WHATSOEVER can be made by you after your holiday application has been received by us. Further, no refunds whatsoever can be made in the event of cancellation by you after the holiday confirmation has been issued to you in accordance with your application. It is with this that we are unable to cancel or amend your booking for you.'
We are however going to book two families in and see if we can upgrade directly with the park. If not we will squeeze in!

I think the max per caravan is 4 for butlins, might be wrong though.

  • I have booked for 3 families several times in the past. We each complete our own forms and collect our own tokens. I then paperclip the 3 applications together and send them off in one envelope with a covering letter explaining we all want to be together (same date and site) and if they cannot accomodate us then would they please return our payments. We have always been sucessful and I usually ring the park when my confirmation comes through and request our caravans are near each other.
  • Thanks for the replies. I only have one booking code for the Sun so I think we may just book for a family of 7 and share a van. Unfortunately we have to be quite choosey about location and dates so I don't think using the booking form would work for us.

I might be too late with my reply, but just in case...
The first year we booked, we all sent off our forms separately, but only put down one park and one date (making sure it wasn't half term, bank holiday or anything like that) and put in a letter explaining why we'd only put down one date. We were lucky enough to all get what we wanted & since then we've all had priority forms. This year though, unfortunately I was the only one to get a priority form, but I rang their helpline; 0844 5439777 and they advised me to print off booking forms for everyone else, complete their details and put the same date and park selection on all forms, enclose cheques for all bookings plus a 1st class stamp for each booking, but only one lot of tokens, and a letter explaining that we wanted to go together, and they would sort it out. As we were going to Cornwall we only needed to collect 6 tokens, so the letter is now in the post & I'm hoping it will work like they said...
I don't think I can hang on til Friday...
  • The priority codes are working for two holidays! Hope you still have time to use this information. All the codes are available on another thread and some amazing people have guessed the last word which is AURA.
So Road, Arch, Herb, Cent, Peel, Sort, Zinc and Aura.

Have just booked two seperate holidays, (one for October half term) using my priority code, so if you book them quickly one after the other you might be able to get the same dates / park twice. Good luck,x.

Please note, this is all info I have gleaned from the other amazing forumites, just passing it on!

I've just booked 2 caravans for the same date at the same park with one reference number.
Book one, log off and book another!
I got sent 2 separate booking references to my email.
I paid with my card for both but one booking has my name and the other booking has my sister and her husbands name.
